Thanks to Jamie Farr (from the hit show MASH), when most people think of Toledo, the Toledo Mud Hens is the first thing that comes to their mind. Jamie Farr, a Toledo native, would always wear a Mud Hens baseball jersey or hat on MASH, and it was all over after that. Today, the Toledo Mud Hens sell more merchandise globally than any other minor league baseball team. Not only do the Mud Hens lead in merchandise sales, but the new ballpark (5/3 Field) has also made the Mud Hens tops in ticket sales for minor league baseball. Once you see the stadium, all of your questions will be answered. As the owner of the Cleveland Indians (Richard Jacobs) put it, "this stadium (5/3 Field) makes you feel like you are at a major league baseball game". When a team has all of this going for them, it makes it hard to lose. Since moving into their new stadium, the Mud Hens have made the playoffs twice, and consistently finish at the top of their division. The stadium is in the heart of downtown, and the Bronze Boar and The Emporium are located one block away from the main entrance for a couple of beers after the game (or before).
