Description:

The Toledo Botanical Gardens is an extension of the Ohio State University (this fact is not even known to most people who live in Toledo). Located on Elmer Dr., just off of Reynolds Rd., the Botanical Gardens cannot be seen from the road. So, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the tiny Elmer Dr. street sign. Visiting the Toledo Botanical Gardens is free to the public, but special events (Crosby Festival, Jazz in the Garden, etc) require an admission fee. The true experience of the Toledo Botanical Gardens can be best described through its mission statement, "To be a horticulture resource offering education, leadership, and service to individuals, communities, and Green Industries of Northwest Ohio by utilizing and promoting research-based information".
